Frills

Before posting today’s bit of virtual chocolate, I need to give out a bit of a warning.

LILY BEETLE!

These scarlet and black demons are out and about already.  I squished three today, so there’ll be some preventive measures over the next few days, I think.  I thought the potted Fritillaria meleagris was looking a bit peaky, but I found them on my Lilium martagon ‘Claude Shride’.

So, if you’ve got lilies or fritillarias in growth, check them out.

So, to get my blood pressure down, here’s today’s picture, a very pretty and frilly double tulip, and its red companion.
